Kitchen Remodeling

I have an existing under cabinet hood recirculate air into interior. I want to replace it with a new hood which can exhaust air to exterior. However, the kitchen is in the middle of the house and there's no duct work for the exhaust fan. I need to construct all the duct work, penetrate some walls, get the hood installed, and do some patch work after it's done.
